Microsoft Office as a Service
Microsoft Office Professional is supplied from a shared platform, and accessed through the installation of a small customer on the user's PC. Following installation, the application icons appear both in the Windows start menu and on the desktop. The customer is provided by an email with a download link, with the correct preconfigured settings.
When saving files, an extra disk is shown that it is available on the server. This gives users the option of saving files locally or on the server. Prints are made using PDF session printers. If users wish to print a document, a PDF file is generated and sent to the local printer. As a result, no specific printer drivers need to be installed.
The supply of Microsoft Hosted Office can be integrated with other SaaS services such as NAV, AX, GP, CRM or SharePoint if these run at the SaaSplaza infrastructure.
