The roads separate for Siennax and SaaSplaza
AMSTELVEEN/SAN DIEGO January 22th 2010. On December 31, 2009, SaaSplaza and Siennax Learning Services separated to go their own way as independent companies. Investors have reached a mutual settlement, where some are backing Siennax Learning Services and others remain with SaaSplaza.
The reason for the split is that the two companies have become less complementary and this will allow them to focus more on their different core competences. "The separation honors the typical skills and ambitions present in both organizations ," said Bram Zwagemaker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siennax International BV. "It opens the door to possible future more focused strategic partnerships."
Siennax, originally an application service provider, has become a specialist over the years in organizing, implementing and executing training and learning processes for mid to large sized organizations and multinationals. Siennax utilizes the leading technologies of Saba or Cornerstone On Demand for their project realization.
In mid-2008, SaaSplaza was launched with the aim to allow software vendors and their implementation partners to deliver their offering as a SaaS solution. The past 18 months has undergone rapid growth for SaaSplaza with more than 120 ISVs and Partners contracted in Europe and the United States resulting in several customer implementations on both continents. "Microsoft has over 400,000 worldwide partners who are all going to sell SaaS solutions," said Herb Prooy, CEO of SaaSplaza. "The demand to offer SaaS solutions for this partner channel is growing daily, which requires all our attention!"
