Companies thrive and nosedive depending on their level of productivity, particularly in today’s markets. What if changing your office culture could be the next step in increasing your productivity? With DevOps you are likely to do so. DevOps isn’t a new software or a new platform, or even a new piece of equipment that you can see and feel, it is a way of working to reach your companies’ fullest potential. In this blog series, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on running a company with a DevOps foundation, why it could be so beneficial to companies in the software and technology sectors and how to achieve the DevOps mindset in your office.

What exactly is DevOps?

DevOps is a combined term consisting of "development" and "operations". It is a method where the emphasis is on collaboration and communication between software developers and other IT specialists. In short, a multidisciplinary agile manner in which no skill is superior to another. Rather than passing a project on from one team to the next and calling it done, a DevOps approach is circular and allows projects to continuously be worked on and improved upon. This not only applies to people in the company itself, but also works across organizations, products and other solutions, and makes the possibilities for collaboration truly endless...
